As our little club moves forward with its plans to expand onto its own ground, the need for more support from friends and families increases. Currently our club and its teams are run, coached and managed by a group of approximately 15 people. These great people can only spread themselves so far. And next season we will have even more teams. So please if you think you might be able to help us out, get in touch. We have a very supportive club and we can offer training and mentoring for all roles. Currently we need more help in all areas. Please see the below info of ways you can help. Line Painter – Ideally suited to a grandparent, retiree or a part time worker. Once a fortnight (approx.) the lines on the pitches need re-painting. This requires someone to use our line marker to go over the existing lines, to ensure the pitches are marked ready for Saturday/Sunday matches.
Managers – We are still looking for managers to run teams in several age brackets. Currently we have the vacancies in a range of ages in both mixed teams and girls’ teams. You will be required to undertake a DBS, you will oversee arranging fixtures and training sessions with your team. If you wish to do a coaching qualification, we can offer support with funding in this area.
Fundraising – We currently have a small group of parents who organise fundraising and social events, raffles and catering throughout the year. With the clubs plans for the future we will need this group more than ever.
Referees for the U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s and U11s – At all our home matches we are expected to provide a referee. This can be any parent or grandparent. Sometimes our managers must step in to this role but they are then not allowed to coach/manage the team. No training is required just an idea of the rules.
Respect Officials – At all our matches each team are expected to have a volunteer respect official. Their role is to make sure that your teams supporters abide by the clubs and FAs respect rules.
Team sponsors – We are always on the lookout for sponsors. Most of our teams need their kit replacing every year. We are also looking for sponsors for rain jackets and other team items. If you have a business or know one who would be willing to sponsor a full kit, team rain jackets or would just be willing to help us with costs we would love to hear from you. If you cannot donate your time, funding team clothing would be a good way of supporting us.
